Team Riset SAFE TUNA Universitas Padjadjaran berhasil mendapatkan Research Endorsement dari UNESCO

Lead institution:

Universitas Padjadjaran – Indonesia

SAFE TUNA research includes the development of an android-based application to help manage the mental health of fishermen in Indonesia.

The research activities use an object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) approach and a mixed methods approach that combines qualitative and quantitative analysis. Participatory action research (PAR) methods are used to encourage transformative actions and stimulate changes in fishermen’s living conditions. The application design includes the addition of new features such as spatial information, fish and fishing gear prices, addresses of the nearest health facilities and household budget arrangements.

SAFE TUNA research activities have received support from the Rokan Hilir Regency Government through the Fisheries Service and fishing communities. The main targets are fishermen who will be users of the application and the local government who will be users of the application data
